Andrew, Ben and I are overjoyed at the arrival of Baby Evie. Al and Claire’s little bundle arrived into the world late Tuesday morning. When Ben heard the news he threw his hands in the air in excitement and said ‘She’s here, she’s here, my sister’s here’. He is a little confused!! We have been so upset that we have not been able to go for cuddle because of sniffles and tummy bugs. But we send this message hoping it makes up for it. Ben, Gramma and I made this master piece today!! Congratulations Al, Claire and Hugo and KISSES for Evie xxxx.

FAMILY, n.-The ones you live with, laugh with and love.
How do children know who there extended family are? It must be innate or maybe they sense a feeling of belonging. Ben is pretty reserved around people he doesn’t know or see often. But not this weekend as I watched him play and interact with his Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and Grandparents. Ben just adored having his cousins Tom and Maggie stay on the weekend. It was magic to watch them play together. Andrew and I just loved the house being full with family.
Our house was a pit stop on the way to a very special event. All that could make it were heading to Cousin Hugo’s first birthday. It was wonderful to be able to share in Al, Claire and Hugo’s special day. We enjoyed catching up with family and friends new and old. Ben certainly enjoyed the party. He ate the entire bowl of cheezels by himself! Hugo was an absolute delight and had enough cuddles to go around for everyone. Happy Birthday Little Man – we hope to celebrate many more with you. xoxox
Uncle Al and Baby Hugo
Al and Hugo visited recently whilst Claire was off doing very important bridesmaid stuff. Little Hugo just chilled the whole time, he is a very relaxed baby (at least when we see him anyway). Benjamin was intrigued and progressively they became more interactive. I think it was great for them both (being cousins and all). Later on we gave Hugo the little red guitar. He held it quite naturally. Perhaps he will be a little rock star in the future.

Lunch with Baby Hugo!
Recently Al, Claire and Hugo joined us for lunch at Hoggies. It was lovely to see them as they have been a little busy with their little man. Catching up has not been as easy at it used to be. Hugo and Ben were just delightful at lunch. Hugo had a snooze and a cuddle, while Ben played and ate. I can confidently say that eating out with Ben is now more pleasurable…………. especially since the discovery of ‘the toy bag’ and ‘ice cream’. Our lovely neighbor Di (an experienced mumof three) had told me it is a good idea to take a small bag of toys when dinning out. It has been a huge success and used on a number of occasions. And as for ICE CREAM ………. I am sure it was invented so parents could eat their dinner!!!!!
A New Baby Cousin!!!
Claire and Al had a baby boy on Thursday 4 September at 12.50 pm at Pindara Private Hospital (Gold Coast). His weight is 8 pound and 8 ounces and he is 52.5 cm long. His name is Hugo Rankin Lattimore. A new baby cousin for Ben, YAY!!! Well done Claire and Al!!!! He is a delightful little man!
