Andrew grew a Mo in November for Movember. Movember is fun way to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues. Andrew’s work got a group together to grow mos and raised over $600.00. Andrew looks ever so handsome with his mo……. not!!! He has never grown a mo before and probably for good reason. What do you think?

Boys, Bikes and Helmets!
Benjamin has always loved Andrew’s motorbike. Andrew puts him on it and he fiddles with all the buttons and leavers. He more recently has discovered the gloves and helmet. Daddy has to distract Ben most days to get them away. Ben loves nothing more than to put the gloves and helmet on. If the spare bedroom door is not closed you occasionally hear a large bang and that is Ben dropping Andrew’s helmet in his attempt to put it on!!
Bathurst and the V8s woo hoo !
Cameron and I are off to Bathurst today for the weekend to watch the annual V8 Supercars 1000km event. We are camping on Mt Panorama again should be fun (McPhillamy Park). I think the last time I went was back in 2003.
I will post an update next week.
Woof, Woof, Woof, Woof, Woof
As I have already said Ben likes to call all animals ‘Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof’. Recently he was on the change table playing with a toy horse while Andrew was changing his nappy. He was saying ‘woof, woof, woof, woof, woof’ while Andrew was explaining that it was a horse not a dog and horses go ‘neigh, neigh, neigh’. With this explanation Ben put his good arm in the air and said ‘Hooray!!’ to which Andrew replied ‘Yep I’ll take that, it’s pretty close’. Good Job Ben!!!
Q1 on the Gold Coast
Yesterday we visited Q1. The viewing level is called QDeck and entry costs less than $20. Well worth it though as the view is spectacular. QDeck offers 360 degree viewing and also has a bar / cafe. We spent about an hour up there enjoying the views and the coffee. Benjamin also had a great time crawling around everywhere.
The Beach #1
Today was Benjamin’s first visit to the beach.
We are staying at the Gold Coast in Mantra Wings Surfers Paradise, which is very close to Surfers Paradise Beach. Initially Belinda took Ben out into the water where he proceeded to make a few noises (not keen apparently). Then some friendly passers by stopped to offer Ben some encouragement. I took over for a few minutes and got Ben into the sand and water (still not keen it seemed). We finally escaped with Ben running in the air.
Aunty Claire suggested that a first beach experience might be like a “cat on wet grass”. I think she got it pretty close.
The last shot is of the pram (Bugaboo Bee) on the beach. It is not very well suited to the soft sand but we persevered anyway. Oh yeah, Belinda found a little bucket and spade for Ben which we are going to go back and try out tomorrow.
