Observations of us
We had a quiet Easter day with family swinging, digging, running, flying, blowing bubbles, eating, patting chickens, jumping and laying in the sun…….just lovely xo
And this is how the little ones spent their evening (and one big one) ……. so much fun!!!
We went looking for bikes for Ben this weekend. With no intention to buy one….. just looking. We went to a couple of shops but were so impressed with the service and products at the Yellow Jersey we couldn’t help ourselves. They even had a children’s track where Ben could try out the bikes!! We obviously got carried away and Ben now has his first two wheeler……… with training wheels. It’s so pretty and shiny!!

It seems that lately all I blog about is Star Wars. But that is my world right now. From the time we get up in the morning to the time Ben goes to bed we seem to leave planet earth (in our X Wing) and head off on adventures to the far away galaxies of Star Wars. We meet all kinds of wonderful people and creatures. This morning we met Jabba and Han Solo in carbonite!! I do sometimes curse all that is Star Wars (especially when it is early morning, before coffee and Ben can’t find Anakin’s lego head!!). But really I love it! I love watching, discovering, exploring, imagining, dressing up and playing in the Star Wars world of a four year old.
So does that mean I am becoming ‘Strong with the Force’ ?

Yesterday afternoon the rain stopped and the skies began to clear. We dropped in for afternoon tea with our dear friends the Durrington’s. This was the result…… an afternoon full of fun!!

I’m so excited – our first tomato nearly ready to pick….YAY!!
I’d also share that I think I have recovered from Ben’s forth birthday party. Lots of little children inside on a rainy day….. not sure what I was thinking!! But Ben got a lovely present from his Aunty Andrea – a globe. This is how I found my boys the other night before Ben went to bed. Ben was looking for ‘my Australia – cose that is where we live’.
Finally I would ask you if you had a spare weekend. I have a fabulous room in my house that has been left as a bit of a junk room since we moved in over a year ago. I have decided to make it my ‘Creative Space’ – my sewing room. Here is what it looks like now…. oh dear!!
I have tables to paint, bunting to hang and material to sort…… oh and find homes for all the junk and treasures that are sitting in the room already!! Any volunteers to help….hehehh?
Better get going and do the laundry…. but I did see this today to brighten the laundry!! Thanks for stopping by while I had my coffee.
I just love this cake!! The first time I saw it was here, then here and then here. I just knew I had to make this rainbow for Ben and his 4th birthday was the perfect time. It was very easy and the instructions are here – thanks so much! Also thanks to Aunty Andrea for her help to put it together. It was so exciting to cut into it….. the oooohhh’s and aahhhhh’s gave me goose-bumps!!
