Ben loves to help cook. Well not really help and not really cook but make a mess and eat the mixture. Both of which he was allowed to do while cooking with Grandma. He has her wrapped around his little finger!!

Kids Parties = FABULOUS!
I love kids parties. I think it is the Early Childhood Teacher in me. Ben and I have been having a ball going to his friends parties. We are so into it… the presents, the games, playing, the cake…….. so much fun. Here are some pictures of his playgroup friend Jake’s party (it was a pool party, that would be why Joseph and Ben are rudies. They ran off before we could get clothes back on them) and his gym friend Siena’s party.
Toys are Over Rated!
Ben spent the afternoon with a potato. He had been grizzling and grumpy all day when he picked a potato out of the fridge. He loved it. He carried it with him and talked away to it. MMMMmmmm is that strange? I was just happy he was happy and the grizzling had stopped!
Ryan, Ryan, Ryan!!!
Ben loves our neighbour Ryan. He calls him to come and play, gives him hugs and follows him everywhere. Ryan also mows our lawn for pocket money. Ben love nothing more than to be on the verandah and watch Ryan mow. Who would have thought???!!!!
It’s a Miracle!
Ben goes to Family Day Care for one day a week. He has a fabulous Family Day Care Mum that looks after him as if he was her own – Trudy. To my amazement he is coming home and doing the most wonderful things. Trudy has all the little ones sit at the table for lunch. I thought to myself ‘goodluck with that’. But to my amazement not only does he do it for Trudy he will now sit at the table for snacks and lunch. I do have to keep a close eye on him as he loves to smear vegemite hands on the lounge. But I never thought he would sit at the table. I imagined he would still be in the highchair when he was sixteen!! Thanks Trudy… its a miracle!!
Basket + Carrot = Chocolate!
It was Ben’s second Easter this year. Ben was only a few weeks old last year so Easter was very quiet. But this year Ben knew something was cooking!!! We talked about easter, read easter stories, decorated a basket and filled it with nesting. Ben left a carrot out for the Easter Bunny. He was more interested in carrying the carrot around with him than leaving it for the bunny but he eventually let go! He was amazed in the morning that the basket had chocolate eggs in it and even more amazed that he got to eat a small one before breakfast!!!
