Being sick in another country is tricky. Influenza A recently invaded our house (all on the mend now). Going to the doctors in Thailand is not like seeing your local GP at home. How we miss Dr Stieler! You go to the hospital here and because we don’t speak Thai the process is not always clear. I found it very difficult not to cry when I was given all this medication that I had no idea what it did. We didn’t take any of it except the flu antiviral and some panadol I already had a home. We really need to learn more Thai and stop living in our expat bubble!! My taxi and shopping Thai does not help at the hospital 🤣
