Carpark FUN ! Ok so my driving skills are questionable…..but I think the car parking at Ben’s school has pushed them to the limit. As you can imagine in the middle of Bangkok parking is limited. While Ben’s school endeavors to find more car parking this is how it is right now. There are three maybe four car parking attendants directing traffic. They insist on reverse parking . This in itself is challenging for me but add two or three Thai men yelling directions in Thai and using contradicting hand signals it’s a freaking disaster. It’s overwhelming being watched and hurried. They also double park cars and push the cars back and forth to let cars out. This morning I was motioned to be one of the cars to be pushed even though there were car spaces available (I think I’m too slow at reverse parking). I had to leave the car in neutral and the park break off. I wasn’t very happy about the car pushing thing but I let it go. For some reason I couldn’t lock the car but didn’t think anything of it in a rush to get into school. School drop off done I return to my car. I hear my car before I see it. For some reason I have no idea the stereo was on blasting Christmas carols! What on earth had I pressed before getting out of the car!!! Geez I’m a reverse parking Christmas carol playing genius!
